Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is an animated superhero film that follows the story of Miles Morales, a teenager living in Brooklyn, New York, who discovers he has powers similar to Spider-Man, Peter Parker. Miles is still learning how to control these new abilities when he encounters Peter B. Parker, a version of Spider-Man from an alternate universe. Peter B. Parker, a more experienced Spider-Man, takes Miles under his wing to help him master his skills.
The plot takes a twist when Kingpin, the main antagonist, conducts an experiment that opens portals to different dimensions, pulling various versions of Spider-Man from other universes into Miles’ world. These include Spider-Man Noir (a version of Spider-Man from the 1930s), Spider-Gwen (Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman in an alternate universe), Peni Parker (a young girl who pilots a spider-themed mech suit), and Spider-Ham (a cartoonish pig version of Spider-Man).
The group must work together to stop Kingpin, who intends to use a machine to keep the portals open, risking the destruction of all dimensions. Throughout the journey, Miles struggles with self-doubt and the challenge of becoming his own Spider-Man, not merely a copy of Peter Parker.
In the end, after intense battles and personal growth, Miles fully embraces his powers and finds the confidence to save the other Spider-People and defeat Kingpin. The film concludes with a powerful message about self-belief and forging one’s own path.
