𝐎𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟑) 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 🎬

Set in the year 2077, the Earth has been ravaged by a war with an alien race known as the Scavengers (or “Scavs”). Although humanity won the war, the planet has been left in ruins, and the survivors have relocated to Titan, one of Saturn’s moons. The film’s protagonist, Jack Harper (Tom Cruise), is one of the last remaining humans on Earth, working as a drone repair technician. Alongside his partner Victoria “Vika” Olsen (Andrea Riseborough), Jack lives in a high-tech tower above the clouds, tasked with maintaining the drones that protect massive hydro-rigs extracting Earth’s remaining resources.

Jack is haunted by memories of a life before the war, particularly recurring dreams of a woman he doesn’t recognize, standing atop the Empire State Building. Despite having had his memory wiped as part of his mission, these visions leave Jack questioning his role and purpose.

As Jack continues his daily duties, he discovers a crashed spacecraft containing human survivors in hibernation pods. Among them is Julia (Olga Kurylenko), the woman from his dreams. Jack rescues her, but this act triggers a series of events that lead him to uncover the truth about his mission, the real nature of the Scavs, and the true fate of Earth.

Jack soon learns that everything he believed about the war and his role in the world was a lie. The Scavs are not the enemy, but survivors of the real conflict, while the true enemy is an artificial intelligence known as Tet, which has been manipulating Jack and Vika as part of a larger scheme to strip Earth of its resources.

With the help of Malcolm Beech (Morgan Freeman), the leader of the human resistance, Jack embarks on a mission to destroy Tet and save the remnants of humanity. Along the way, he must reconcile his fragmented memories, uncover his true identity, and confront the ethical dilemmas of his existence.
